Q3Matador CVS

Standalone copy of QIIIA Game Source License.

Even though the sources are provided here over CVS, you will still be bound to the license agreement as set forth by Id Software, Inc., if you use, copy, install, download, etc., etc., have a copy, etc. of the sources. A copy (or at least we think it is a copy of the license agreement) is included in the CVS tree as "QIIIA Game Source License.html", and also an online copy here so you don't have to download the tree (and therefore be bound) before reading it. The license agreement can be summed up as: mods must only work with full-version Quake 3, don't try to screw Id, and don't try to rip off Id. Don't pretend you never knew of a license agreement; it won't fly in court.

To access the Q3Matador CVS tree:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@ketnar.org:/web/q3matador.dragon-rider.org/modcvs login

Then check out the module:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ketnar.org:/web/q3matador.dragon-rider.org/modcvs co q3matador

If you have already checked out the module and want to update to the latest revisions, change directory into the q3matador/ directory (so that you see a CVS/ directory) and run:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ketnar.org:/web/q3matador.dragon-rider.org/modcvs update -dPR

To obtain a CVS-less source snapshot (for source packaging or import into another module) for the latest release:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@ketnar.org:/web/q3matador.dragon-rider.org/modcvs export -r beta_00016

These are the source releases (cvs export) of the corresponding mod release.

Q3Matador is primarily developed on a GNU/Linux operating system. Development on other platforms might not be supported. Problems with development can be posted on the code-related forums.
